FIRM OPENING RATES SYDNEY, Monday. ♦ J* 16 Sydney wool sales were opened oday. The offerings comprised 11,450 which 10,858 were sold. In ad- - I** ®n 298 bales were sold privately, the market ruled firm at July closes rates, with good general competi•lon. French, German and Belgian Yn£ r £. were active and Japanese and h' ro buyers gave useful support. , *ne offerings mainly were suited to 'Jhtinental demand and satisfactory v,.M? nces were made. Greasy Merino sold to l4Jd.
