OLD RESIDENT KILLED
KNOCKED DOWN BY MOTORCAR Press Association OAMARU, Today. An old Identity of Oamaru was killed in a motor accident last evening. lie was James Ilousten Milligan, aged 89, and he was struck by a car driven by Francis Harold Bryant. Mr. Milligan was returning home from church when the car struck him, inflicting injuries to his arms, legs, rib?, and head. Mr. Milligan was one of the oldest residents of Oamaru. Born at Loch Arthur. Dalbeattie, Scotland, in 1841, ho arrived in Dunedin in the Storm Cloud 66 years ago, and soon after opened the tailoring business in Oamaru now known as J. >T. Milligan and Co. He is survived by two sons. Robert, of Oamaru, and David, of Wellington, and two daughters, Miss Milligan and Mrs. Scott. He was for many years a member of the Charitable Aid Board.
