BURNING FATALITY AT OTAHUHU EVIDENCE AT INQUEST Tho inquest concerning the death of William Chamberlain, who died on August 3 as the result of burns, was resumed at the Otahuhu Court this morning, before the coroner, Mr. F. H. Levien, S.M. A verdict that death was due to shock and septical absorption caused by burns received by Mr. Chamberlain when he fell into a fire at his home oil August 24, was returned. Mr. Chamberlain was a cripple and he was found lying with his head in the grate of an open fireplace, apparently having fallen from his wheelchair, which was overturned nearbj'. He was conscious when found, but died after removal to the hospital. Members of the family were absent when the accident occurred and Mr. Chamberlain was found by a neighbour, Miss Madge Bennett, who investigated when she noticed the house was in darkness. Dr. A. M. Ross said he was called to the house, where he found Mr. Chamberlain suffering from shock and burns on the hea’d and neck. After giving him attention he ordered his removal to the hospital.
