STRAND

TWO FINE TALKIES With the child of his first wife dying in Switzerland and his second wife hourly expecting to become a mother in America, what should the husband do? Conrad Nagel solves this dramatic problem in “Second Wife,” Radio Pictures’ all-talking domestic drama which is now at the Strand Theatre. Nagel appears as a wealthy widower with a small son. He falls in love with Lila Lee. They are married, but she soon realises that memories of his “first wife” are overshadowing their happiness. With the exception of a few interior scenes, “Beau Bandit,” Radio Pictures’ colourful all-talking outdoor film, starring Rod La Rocqvie, which is the second feature, was photographed and recorded in its natural locale.
