LADIES’ NIGHT
Annual Lodge Function At Ellerslie ENTERTAINING PROGRAMME Tiie annual ladies’ evening of No. 55, Lodge Wairoa, Ellerslie, was celebrated recently and was most successful. The Worshipful Master, Mr. T. G. Shaw, in a short opening speech, welcomed the visitors. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to Air. Thompson’s orchestra. Between dances vocal, musical and elocutionary items were given by Aliss M. Grassie, Aliss E. Nutt, Mr. Lambert Harvey and Air. G. R. Pilkington. The hall was decorated with brightlycoloured balloons and streamers. The dance music was supplied by Air. Thompson’s orchestra. Among those present were: Airs. T. G. Shaw, who wore black ankle-length georgette and, floral bridge coat; All's. H. Watkin, black silver beaded silk net frock; Airs. F. Unsworth, black georgette and silk lace; Mrs. B. Clayton, red lace and bridge coat; Airs. AI. Blackwell, ivory satin beaute and shell pink georgette; Mrs. H. White, sea-foam lace and georgette; Mi's. Fowler, sunset georgette and lace; Mrs. A. Hill, floral beige georgette; Airs. Bates, beige georgette; Airs. F. R. O'Gorman, black embossed georgette; Airs. Ilewson, black crepe de chine; Airs. Nutt, black crepe de chine; Mrs. F. Alpe, flame chenille georgette and tulle bow; Airs. Stitchbury, figured lame and georgette; Airs. Blackburn, mauve crepe de chine; Airs. E. J. Tierney, black satin beaute and lime green; Airs.
