PUTTING BRIGHTER NOTE IN INSTRUMENT ORGANIST GETS SIX MONTHS The reason advanced by Gunner Paulsen, an organist, for stealing part of the organ of a City theatre was that he had taken the part off “to give a better and brighter note to the organ.” However. Mr. F. K. Hunt. S.M., sentenced him today to six months’ imprison ment. Paulsen, an organist, agecL 2S, was charged with, on September 2. stealing an electric motor-horn, valued at 30s. the property of a City theatre. He was also charged with stealing a quantity of crockery and cutlery, three silver salad bowls and a door-lock, of a total value of £5, from the same theatre. Two further charges of stealing two letters containing postal notes ami cash, totalling £3 15s, the properly of Jane Ann Wright, on June 16, were preferred against him. For accused, Mr. Singer admitted all the charges and said that all the property had been recovered. “He was lief ore the Court a few months ago and was treated leniently,” i said the chief-detective.
