He was also charged with stealing a quantity of crockery and cutlery, three silver salad bowls and a door-lock, of a total value of £5, from the same theatre. Two further charges of stealing two letters containing postal notes ami cash, totalling £3 15s, the properly of Jane Ann Wright, on June 16, were preferred against him. For accused, Mr. Singer admitted all the charges and said that all the property had been recovered. “He was lief ore the Court a few months ago and was treated leniently,” i said the chief-detective.
