Obituary
MRS. M. HILLS The death has occurred at the Wliangarei Hospital of Mrs. Mary Hills, at the age of 72. Born in Wiltshire. Mrs. Hills came to New’ Zealand with her husband and family about 18 years ago and settled in Whangarei. She is survived by two sons. MRS. W. J. ADAMS The death has occurred of Mrs. W. J. Adams, who, as a child, went to Thames with her parents in 1868, and later married Mr. W. J. Adams, who was for some years manager of the Waitangi mine. She is survived by two sons and four daughters. MR. H. B. CHAPMAN Advice has been received in Welling- [ ton of the death in Hobart of Mr. F. B. I Chapman. Mr. Chapman came to New ' Zealand from Tasmania at an early age I and joined the legal firm of Messrs. Whittaker and Russell, of Auckland, qualifying as a solicitor, and later entering a Wellington legal firm. He retired last year and went to live with his daughter in Hobart. ’ MR. D. SHAW A very old resident of the Clevedon district. Mr. Daniel Shaw, has died in Auckland at the age of 78. Born In ! Scotland. Mr. Shaw came to New Zealand with his parents in the ship Viola j 65 years ago, and went to Clevedon, where the family engaged in farming. Later Mr. Shaw farmed at Ness Valley, but still later returned to Clevedon. and had since lived there. Mrs. ' Shaw died about five years ago. Mr. Sliaw is survived by two sons, Mr. Daniel Shaw, of Whakatane, and Mr. Thomas Shaw, Ness Valley, and one daughter. Mrs. John Walker, of Papakura. There are right grandchildren I and two sreut-srar dchildren.
