DOCTOR WAITED FOR DEATH Took Note of Sufferings LEAVES BODY TO AID RESEARCH kh'TKR suffering for 4o years from a dread and rare disease ** called acromegaly, a doctor in England has died leaving a carefully prepared record of his sufferings and his reactions —a martyr to science. His body he has bequeathed for dissection to assist a closer study of the little-known malady.

The latest name to be added to the long scroll o£ medical heroes and martyrs is Dr. Leonard Mark, who recently died at the age o£ 75 years. For 45 years, knowing himself to he suffering from the rare and dreaded disease, Acromegaly, he compiled most carefully a record of his sufferings and reactions in order to assist in research.
