Coon Song pulled up lame after work on Friday morning and could not fulfil his engagement at Marton on Saturday. The Hunt’iig Song gelding will not be racing at Wanganui on Thursday, and will probably be an absentee on Saturday. The injury is said to be a bruised heel, and it was most unfortunate for his connections, for Coon Song was in great nick. R. E. Hatch is afraid that the gelding will have to be turned out for a spell.
