A stirring tale of adventure is unfolded in “Vengeance,” at the Empress Theatre, with Jack Holt in the leading role John Meadliam, in charge of the West African Company’s trading post in the Congo, requests to be relieved of his post. Charles Summers, at his own request, is sent to Africa to take charge When Summers arrives, the post representatives are amazed to see that he has brought with him Margaret, his wife, and a lovely young girl. A decided antagonism develops between Meadliam and Summers.
