BOATING AT TAKAPUNA
CLUB’S PRIZE NIGHT
The Takapuna Boating Club held a bright dance in the boathouse, Bayswater, last evening, in connection with the annual prize distribution ceremony. The trophic® and awards won by yachtsmen during the season were presented by the p< tron. Mr. <3 Winstone, ’junior. The commodore, Mr. J J. Mackay. welcomed the visitors, who included numbers of members of other clubs. outstanding prize-win-ners were as follow: —H and I classy annual regatta, Starloch; H, L» and N class, ocean race, Omatere: T, X and Y class, annual regatta. Shalimar; V and S class, annual regatta. Surprise; Z class, annual regatta. Trevic; Tauranga class, annual regatta. Vestal.
The Blomfield Shield, awarded on aggregate points for first past the winning-post, was won by the Delphine. The Sports Cup, for the best for’ard hand during the season, was won by R. Tabuteau.
