MRS. N. E. FERNER RETIRES After 11 years’ service on the Auckland Kducation Board, Mrs. X. K. Ferner has been compelled through ill-health to retire. Mrs. Ferner. who did not stand at the recent board elections, thanked members by letter at the meeting today for help in the past. “The Sunshine School here will stand as a monument to Mrs. who lias been closely connected with any work for children in the province for many 5 years,” said the chairman, Mr. A. Burns. “She can be ill-spared from this work.” He moved that a letter be sent to Mrs. Ferner thanking her on behalf of the children of the province for her past services.
