GENEVA, Sunday A flying tragedy occurred today, the victims being three passengers in an airplane which fell into the Lake of Geneva (Lake Leman). The pilot and mechanic were seriously injured. The machine was employed in the lake service. It was flying low when the right motor misfired. This upset the balance of the plane and the right wing dipped and struck the water. Then the machine dived into the lake. Parties in motor-boats rushed to the rescue and picked up the pilot and machanic. A Belgian woman passenger, aged 42, had one arm toTn off. Nevertheless she crawled out from the cabin and swam about u'ntil she was rescued. Later she died in hospital. The other two victims were a man and his wife, who w.ere on a holiday.
