FLYING TO ENGLAND
AIRMAN’S QUIET START FROM AUSTRALIA AFTER HINKLER’S TIME United P.A. —By Telegraph —Copyrigh Reed. 12.40 p.m. SYDNEY, Today. General Pentland, a Sydney airman, left the Mascot Airdrome at 6.30 o’clock this morning for England in an attempt to beat Bert Hinkler’s time between the two countries. Pentland is flying an Australian machine called “Genairco.” He is well known In flying circles in Australia, and has a splendid air war record.
