INDOOR BOWLING
OPEN FOUR TOURNEY The Auckland Indoor Bowling Association’s open tourney, which commences on Saturday next, August 2. at I. p.m., in tho Drill Hall, Blake Street, Ponsonby, promises to be a most interesting competition. Severn ’ what might almost be called outside teams have entered and are anxious to show the purely indoor players that they have no monopoly of the skill required to win these tourneys. In section A any one of the seven teams may furnish the winner. On present form Francis, Swanson, McPherson, Baker will finish about in that order. In section B Harkin and Sullivan should be hardest to beat, but Lawrence, Adeane and Beer may help to upset calculations. In section C there is another case of any one of seven likely to qualify. Blackwell and Hare read best, with Dlttmer and Campling also in the running. ORANGE ASSOCIATION The following are the results of Orange tourney: Round I.—Mrs. Dilly, Mrs. Norgrove. Mrs. Young.
