SUN PRIZE CAMPAIGN ENTERS FINAL WEEK
Contestants’ Last Opportunity to Win Prizes
On Monday the great campaign of The Sun to decide the most popular people in Auckland enters its Anal . ee li One week from today it will be a'matter of history and the win nine contestants will have received their just rewards. All next week contestants should be exerting themselves to the utmost to secure every possible subscription. Subscriptions may be turned In until 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 2. The campaign office will close at this hour There is bound to be a rush 0 ( contestants at the last minute eager to get in the final subscriptions. All contestants who are in the Sun’s office will be taken care of and their votes placed in the ballot box. All reserve ballots must be in the ballot hot before that hour. The ballot box in the campaign office will be sealed today—a slot being left in the top to receive all reserve or secret ballots. Contestants are requested to check over thenreserve ballots with the campaign manager to be sure that none has been lost In the mall. No mistakes can be rectified after 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 2, and no checking will he done with contestants after next Friday. If you are at all in doubt, it Is well to have your ballots checked during the week. Do not wait until the last minute. LAST COUNT The last count of votes for publication In The Sun was made today, and the result will be published in Monday's paper. Out of town contestant* may remit by Telegraph money order their last minute subscriptions, but in all cases the telegram must arrive at The Sun office and be in the hands of the campaign manager before the stroke of four. No exceptions can be made to this rule.
SEND IN RESERVE BALLOTS Country contestants should post In their reserve voting ballots immediately as there is danger of delay at the last minute. Unless the ballots actually are In the campaign manager’s hands at 4 p.m. In The Sun office they will not be counted. During the final week of the campaign, no personal uncertified cheques over £5 can be accepted by the campaign manager. All next week the ballot-box will be sealed and no further counts will be made until the ballot-box is turned over to the judges at 6.30 p.m. on August 2. The count which appears In Monday’s paper will include the names of all contestants who are qualified to win prizes. Nominations close today and no new contestants may enter the race between now and the close. IMPORTANT TO COUNTRY CONTESTANTS One Important feature for the country contestants this week is that all subscription money and all ballots must actually arrive at The Sun office before 4 p.m. on Saturday. Subscriptions that are In the post cannot be counted. Only subscriptions which are actually received and the money actually on deposit with the campaign manager at 4 o’clock on August 2 will he included. Out of town contestants should get all cheques certified before posting to the campaign office, or, better still, remit by bank draft, money order or registered post.
