AUSTRALIAN ORANGES
STRONG BID FOR CANADIAN MARKET BEGINS BIG SHIPMENT ARRIVES Reed. 9.30 a.m. VANCOUVER, Friday. Australia has entered vigorously into the battle for Canada’s orange market, with the arrival of 800 cases of oranges on the Aorangi. Up to now a monopoly has been enjoyed by California, but now Australia, Japan, and Brazil are all endeavouring to secure the market. Wholesalers state that tile Australian shipment is in prime condition, and the price is attractive, and they predict a good market.
