STOLE GLOVES
TRAM CONDUCTOR IN TROUBLE FINED £5 OR ONE MONTH “This is an isolated ease and accused has always borne a good character,” said Mr. J. J. Sullivan when Frederick William Guinibert was charged with the theft of gloves valued at 14s Id, at the Police Court today. Guinibert, a tram conductor, aged 39, was charged with the theft of a glove valued at 2s 7d and another valued at 11s 6d from a City firm yesterday. Chief-Detective Hammond said accused was liivng apart from his wife. He had gone to the shop with another woman and had there stolen the gloves. He had been in the employ of the Transport Board for many years and there were no previous convictions against him. Mr. J. J. Sullivan asked that Guinibert be given a chance. Accused was fined £5 or one month, 24 hours being given to find the money.
