ALSATIAN DOGS

NO EXCLUSION AT SHOW Not to recommend the exclusion of Alsatian dogs from shows held throughout the province, was the decision reached at the annual conference of the Auckland Provincial Council of Affiliated Agricultural and Pastoral Associations yesterday. The matter arose through the receipt of a letter from the New Zealand Alsatian Club, which viewed with concern the remit passed at the Royal Agricultural Society’s conference last week excluding Alsatian dogs from the Royal Show. The club thought the remit had been prompted by the prejudice and antagonism evidenced in isolated quarters against this breed of dog since its introduction into tho country about six years ago. It stated that many attacks against the breed, both in England and New Zealand, had been proved, upon investigation, to be entirely devoid of truth.
