NO "POUND" FEES CHARGED A charge of stealing his own dog was brought against George Kime, a labourer, at Grimsby recently. The animal was found by a boy, who took it to the police station, where It was Placed in the kennels. The superintendent said that Kime climbed over some 9ft railings and removed the dog from the kennels. While the dog was ■n the kennels it was the property of the chief constable. Kime took it because he did not want to pay charges for keeping it in the kennels.
