RECORD RUGBY KICKS

TN the next week or so, there are bound to be some tall stories going round about prodigious kicking in Rugby. So that SUN readers may be “on-side” with the record book, it may be mentioned that the official world’s record place-kick with a Rugby ball is 74yds 11in, by E. Doyle at Dublin in 1903. The best dropkick is 69yds 2ft by N. Ebsworth at Sydney in 1901.
