CHURCH CO-OPERATION
METHODISTS TO WORK WITH PRESBYTERIANS “SINKING DIFFERENCES” Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. The district committee of the Methodist Church accepted proposals of the joint committee of the Presbyterian Methodist churches for closer cooperation between the two denominations. The Rev. E. D. Patchett. district chairman, said the findings of the committee were significant of the disposition to sink the differences and rivalries between the churches. The proposals had a bearing on the questions of overlapping and membership. and were for the purpose of so j adjusting the interests of two denomi- ' nations, that their spheres of influences i could l>e mapped out in a spirit of cooperation and goodwill. It also suggested that, where members were isolated from their own church, they could be officially encouraged to link up in membership with the sisterchurch. It was decided to forward th-» pro- ! posals to the Methodist church Courts throughout the Dominion.
