TWO NEW PICTURES Those people who were fortunate enough some five or si:* years ago to see in Auckland the celebrated London stage players, Seymour Hicks and Ellaline Terriss in “Sleeping Partners,” “The Man in Dress Clothes” and other charming plays, will welcome another opportunity of seeing and hearing such art. This opportunity will be available at the National Theatre from today when per medium of the talking screen England’s foremost sophisticated comedian, Seymour Hicks, will appear in “Sleeping Partners,” in the greatest role of his career. a poorly paid young architect, played by Morgan Farley, enmeshes both of them in what looks like a murder until the truth comes out. “After the Clouds Roll By” in “Half Marriage” is sung by Ann Green way while “It’s All of Her” is done by Ken Murray, both popular vaudeville headliners.
Nancy Carroll will shortly commence work on “Laughter,” her next starring talkie-drama. Fredric March is to be featured opposite the star, and Harry D’Arrast will direct.
