OPEN STAKE CONTESTS One of the finest meetings of the Auckland Coursing Club’s season M ill bo held on Saturday, August 12, when there will be an open stake for 16 dogs and also a maiden stake for the same number. It is confidently expected that the meeting will attract some of the best dogs in the North Island, particularly tho open stake, which, carries with it a trophy presented by Mr. Mat Freeney, which is to be called the Freeny Memorial Cup. in memory of Mr. Freeney’s father, who was one of the keenest supporters of the sport.
