Every settler in the district was at Xgarua Hall yesterday to hear the congratulations of leaders of the dairving industry in the Thames Valley and Waikato on the performance of the Ngarua herd testing group in establishing two world's records in the production of butter-fat. These were: 315.421 b of fat a cow for 1,113 cows in 281 days; 1861 b of fat an acre over 1,900 acres. “The best I can wish you.” said Mr. Dynes Fulton, president of the New Zealand Herd Testing Federation, “is that next year you cap the performance by doing the ‘hat trick/ ” Last year tho group established a ® record in the production of 1701 b of fat an acre.
