STRIKE TALK TURNS OUT TO BE IDLE THREAT NEW AWARD OPERATING United P.A.—By Telegraph Copyright SYDNEY, Thursday. The fear that the shearers would strike owing to the reduction of their wages under the new award has not materialised. The men in the majority of the sheds are carrying on under the new rates. The attitude of the unions toward the award will be determined at the end of this week.
