SIR JOSEPH WARD’S FUNERAL GOVERNMENT THANKED „ Press Association WELLINGTON, Thursday. The Prime Minister, the Hon. G. W. Forbes, has received from Sir Cyril Ward, on behalf of the whole family, grateful appreciation of the Government’s arrangements for the State funeral of Sir Joseph Ward. Particular mention is made of the railway and police services, the military and motor transport arrangements and of the services of the permanent head of the Prime Minister’s Department, the secretary of the Post and Telegraph Department and of officials of the Department of Internal Affairs.

The reverence and dignity with which the whole funeral arrangements were organised and carried out, said Sir Cyril, had proved a very great comfort to members of the family.
