Prizes To Be Awarded From Stage
At Civic Theatre
SEMI-FINAL BONUS CLOSING TOMORROW
The Sun's great popularity competition closes two weeks from tomorrow, August 2. The votes will be counted in the Civic Theatre, and the prizes will be awarded to the victorious contestants at the close of the performance.
There is hound to be a great rush for seats on the final night, therefore Mr. O’Brien, manager of the Civic Theatre, announces that contestants may book their seats now. _ "this es.rly booking will ensure the various contestants and their friends of getting the best seats available.
A special programme will be on at the Civic for August 2. therefore it is advisable for bookings to be made immediately. The count will start, at C. 30 p.m. A special enclosure will be arranged on the mezzanine floor, where the judges will be stationed to do the actual counting. The count will then progress while the show is going cn. During the intermission all totals secured up to that time will be r .ad from the stage, and at the conclusion of the performance the orders for the prizes will he awarded.
Contestants should send in tlic name of their judge as early as possible- —each contestant must notify his own particular judge to be present. The count will start promptly at 6.30,
and each contestant should see that his or her judge is present at the Civic Theatre at that hour. It is hoped to complete the count before the intermission. SEMI-FINAL PERIOD CLOSES TOMORROW Less than twenty-four hours remain before the close of the semi-final period in The Sun’s popularity competition. Until 1 p.m. tomorrow. 200,000 extra votes will be given for each total of £lO in subscription money turned in by a contestant. This is positively the last opportunity the contestant will have to pile up this amount of extra votes. CAR PARADE IN HAMILTON NEXT WEEK On next Monday a great exhibition of The Sun’s prize cars will be held in Hamilton. Through the courtesy of Ebbett Motors. Chevrolet and Pontiac i dealers, and wnitford-Erson Motors, Buick and Marquette dealers, a fete is being prepared. A parade of the 1 cars will be carried ont. and rides will be given to all the contestants. The ! parade will start from Hood Street at 11 a.m., and will pass through the tarious business sections of the city, j Contestants will be out in force, and will show the cars to their various | friends and supporters.
