DARGAVILLE NOTES
Mr. W. Martin, town clerk, was granted three months* leave of absence by the Dargaville Borough Council. Mr. Martin is at present an inmate of a private hospital in Auckland, due to a breakdown in health. The council expressed the hope that Mr. Martin would return fully restored to health. Miss L. Watson will act as clerk during his absence.
Mr. H. "Walker, prominent in football. musical, swimming and social circles in Dargaville, will leave on Sunday to enter into business in Auckland with his father.
The instituting of cocoa at the infant department of the Dargaville District High School is greatly appreciated by the tiny tots. Tradespeople have responded liberally to the call for cocoa and sugar, and up to the present no charge has been made to the children.
