UNION’S WEEKLY MEETING
KING’S PLAYS WANGANUI Final arrangements for the match against the British team on Saturday were discussed when the Management Committee of the Auckland Rugby Union met last evening. Mr. H. Frost presided. Permission was granted for the match between King's College and Wanganui College, to be played at Middlemore next Wednesday at 3 p.m. Mr. E. C. Stretton, as requested by . King’s College, was appointed referee. The following names were forwarded by the Appointment Board for submission to the King Country Union for the game against Auckland B on Saturday: F. E. Sutherland, C. F. Pauli, G. Peace. Messrs. Hoare and Galbraith were appointed joint managers of the Auckland B representative team for Saturday. It was resolved to suspend all competitions next Saturday and on July 2G. A motion of congratulation was passed to Messrs. M. Kronfeld and F. Sutherland on their appointment as referees to British matches. Following are the fixtures for Saturday:— Representative Match. —Auckland v. Britain, Eden Park No. 1, 2.30 p.m., Mr. J. Moffit, Wellington. Curtain-raiser games:—King Country v. Auckland B, Eden Park No. 1. 1 p.m., referee to be selected. Secondary schools: Morrinsville High v. Sacred Heart. Eden Park No. 1, noon. Captain J. G. C. Wales. Primary schools’ representatives: Auckland v. South Auckland, Eden Park No. 1, 11 a.m., Mr. W. Lomas.
