LOOKS THE PART
LEASEHOLD IMPRESSES LLANORE’S DOINGS J. Chisholm has a fine youngster included in his active team at Ellerslie. This is the rising three-year-old Leasehold, whose racing so far has been limited to two unplaced efforts, at Matamata and Te Aroha respectively He was growing all the time, however, and a spell for three or four months has effected a wonderful improvement. Now he has matured into a nice, big gelding—not over-big, for he has the substance to match it. A few weeks labour will see the son of Acre bearing a more racy appearance. Leasehold is owned by his breeder, • the To Kapa stud master, Mr. .T. j Thorpe, who has Acre and Gasbag ; standing there. Llanore also has yet to represent I this stable with the colours up. and much of her toil is carried out in the centre at Ellerslie. Her hind legs filled some time ago, but the trouble lis gradually easing. Llanore proved a profitable winner for Hawera Trainer J. Brown, from whom she was purchased last month at a moderate figure.
