CHARGED WITH FORGERY
LABOURER REMANDED On a charge of forging a cheque. Albert James Barnes, who appeared at the Police Court today, was remanded to appear on July 23. Barnes, a labourer, aged 32, was charged with, on July 14, at Papakura, forging a cheque drawn on the Bank of New Zealand at Papakura, by William Hoye for the sum of £lO and causing one to act upon it as genuine. On the application of Chief-Detec-tive Hani*nond, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., remanded Barnes to July 23,
