DID DOYLE RETURN?

MEDIUM CLAIMS HE SAT IN VACANT CHAIR LADY DOYLE CONVINCED LONDON, Sunday. Ten thousand people attended the Spiritualists’ memorial service in the Albert Hall this evening and listened to tributes to the late Sir Conan Doyle and sang his favourite hymns. Then a medium, Mrs. Estelle Roberts, standing in tlie rostrum, claimed that she saw the spirit of Sir Conan cross the platform and sit down in his vacant chair. Subsequently she exclaimed: “I have a message from him.” Mrs. Roberts walked across the stage and engaged in a whispered, cheerful conversation with the Doyle family. Lady Doyle afterwards said she was perfectly convinced that the message conveyed by the medium had come from her husband. ‘‘lt was a happy, cheering message,” she said. ‘‘l am sure he has been with us this evening.”
