From Our Own Correspondent PUKEKOHE. Monday. The Franklin County Council met today, Mr. J. N. Massey, M.P., presiding. Authority was given to the engineer to proceed with the survey of the road approach to the new wharf at Big Bay, Manukau Harbour, by the Auckland Harbour Board. Advice was received that the Local Government Loans Board had approved of the raising of the PaparimuArarimu road loan of £7OO. The engineer reported that the Hingaia bridge, a span of which subsided recently, had been reopened to traffic on June 30. The approximate cost of repairs was £1)00.
