Farthing is doing well in the Straits Settlement, and up till June 12 last he had ridden 17 winners for the season. At the Selangor races on June 2, Farthing was astride the last four winner* on the programme—Wallpaper, Ba:barra, Golden Eve and Maieons Lapette. On the concluding two days o i tho meeting he won a double each day. Farthing will be remembered as the rider of Polycletan, winner of the 1924 Metropolitan. He was then but 19 years of age.
