CHARGED WITH THEFT
BILLIARDS-MARKER REMANDED
On a charge of theft, George Harvey Cornish, who appeared before Mr. F. K. Hunt S.M., at the Police Court today. was remanded until tomorrow. Cornish, a billiards-marker, aged 21, was alleged to have stolen a bottle of whisky, valued at 14s 6d, the property of Allan Hugh McCarthy on February 1.
In asking for a remand, Sub-Inspec-tor Shanahan said that Cornish b%d only been arrested last evening. Charged with stealing a horse, saddle, and bridle, valued at £4, the property of James Nicholson, of Morrinsville, Whana Whana Teriaki, a Maori, appeared at the Police Court this morning. On the application of Sub-Inspec-tor ShanaYinn, Mr. Hunt remanded Teriaki until July IS.
