BRIDE IN PINK

TITIRANGI WEDDING OF INTEREST MILLER—NEWTON The marriage was celebrated at the War Memorial Church, Titirangi, on Tuesday afternoon, of Mona Elizabeth, fourth daughter of Mrs. and the late Mr. A. F. Newton, of Kohukohu, Hokianga, to Leslie John, elder son of Mr. J. Miller and the late Mrs. Miller, of Hawke's Bay. The church was beautifully decorated with hydrangeas, roses, snowdrops and graceful nikau palms. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. H. R. Jacks, and Mrs. Macandrew presided at the organ. Given away by Mr. David Wallace, the bride wore a dainty gown of cameo pink satin beaute with an overdress of silver lace, which dipped to the ankles at either side. The embroidered veil of pink tulle which formed the train was caught to the head with clusters of orange blossom. She also wore a diamond-studded horse-shoe on her arm, and carried a bouquet of pale pink flowers and maidenhair fern. Miss Finally Miller. sister of the bridegroom, was bridesmaid, wearing a frock of primrose satin and georgette. She wore a mauve felt hat, and carried a boU'auet of mauve flowers. The duties of best man were carried out by Mr. Douglas Newton. After the ceremony a reception was held at Whareiti, Titirangi, the home of the bride’s sister, where Mrs. Newton received her guests in a frock of navy blue crepe do -chine with a .iabot of guipure lace and a black and white lace hat, trimmed with ospreys.
