Application was made by Mr. Sinclair some months ago and, along with a number of others, he was interviewed personally by a committee, of which the Governor-General was cliaiiman This body was practically the one which makes the regular select.on of Rhodes scholars. Nil*. Sinclair then went to England for instruction, which will include a course of special study at an English university. He will spend a year at Balliol College, Oxford, and afterward take a brief course in tropical hygiene. He will then proceed to Nigeria to join the administrative staff. As a Master of Laws of th*s New Zealand University, Mr. Sinclair was best fitted of all applicants for this •post.
