MINE DISPUTE SETTLED

TROUBLE AT DOBSON .BiTRATOR’S DECISION Press Association, GREYMOUTH, Wednesday. The dispute at the Dobson mine was settled today. The district disputes committee considered the matter but 1 without reaching a decision, and an independent efiairman, Mr. H. G. Carter, was called as arbitrator. The question was whether the mine nianegement was justified in refusing the minimum rate to four miners who the union held were unable to earn such rate owing to various adverse factors in their working place. The decision was that the clause in the-agreement providing for a minimum rate should apply to the four men.
