AUCTIONEERS’ REPORTS Stock auctioneers report on stock sales held throughoLit the district during the past week as follow: Alfred Buckland and Sons, Ltd.— During the week wo held cattlo sales at Westfield, Pukekohe, Runciman, Kumeu and Wellsford, pig sales at Pukekohe and Waiuku, and two clearing sales. Average yardings of cattle at all centres sold at ruling values. Pigs were in short supply and sold at about Westfield rates. Best dairy cows and lieifers realised £ls to £l9 10s; good cow’s and heifers, £lO 10s to £l4 15s; other dairy cows and heifers, £4 10s to £10; empty young cows and heifers, £3 to £5; store and boner cows, £1 10s to £5 ss; fat cows and heifers, £5 10s to £lO 7s 6d; fat steers, £lO 10s to £l3 10s; three to four-year-old steers. £8 to !U9 ss; two to three-year-old steers, £6 10s to £8; yearling to 18-months-old steers, £4 10s to £ 6 ss; well-bred yearling dairy heifers, £5 5s to £7; other yearling heifers, £2 10s to £4 15s; cows with calves, £6 to £8 10s; heavy bulls aro not wanted and sold at from £4 to £5 15s; sound young herd bulls, £4 4s to £8 8s; other bulls, £1 10s to £4. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd.—Sales were held during tho week at Westfield, Papakura, Waiuku (pig sale), Hauraki Plains (two clearing sales) and Clevedon (clearing sale). All classes of cattle sold at late quotations, with the exception of backward springers, which are slightly easier in value. We quote: Best dairy cows and heifers, £lO to £ls 10s; others, £7 to £9 15s; aged cows and inferior heifers, £4 to £6 15s; bulls, £2 10s to £7, according to weight; boner and store cows, £2 10s to £5 17s 6d; weaner heifers, £2 5s to £4 ss; weaner steers, £1 15s to £4 10s; yearling to ] 8-month heifers, £4 10s to £6 15s; yearling to 18-month steers, £4 15s to £5 17s 6d: two to two and a-half year steers, £6 to £7 7s 6d; three to three and a-half year steers, £7 10s to £8 15s; grown steers, £9 to £lO ss. Beef and pigs sold at fully Westfield rates.
