POLICE APPEAL HEARD

The Police Appeal Board sat this morning to investigate the case of a limeil sergeant who had b%cn charged with a dereliction of duty. Evidence was taken but no decision arrived at. '1 !n> chairman said that the board would refer the subject to the Minister. Tlie inquiry was an appeal from a decision of Superentendent Bales in r-on-victing a sergeant of neglect of duty.
