TAINUI DISPATCHED.—EarIy this morning the Shaw, Savill and Albion 1 Company’s liner Tainui was dispatched with passengers, mails and cargo for Southampton and London, via the Panama Canal. She is to leave there at , four o’clock this afternoon for Suva and Auckland. bourne for Wellington, via Bluff, Dunedin and Lyttelton, on Thursday. The vessel is due at Bluff on Monday and at Wellington next Friday. She is to be dispatched from Wellington for Melbourne, via Bluff, next Saturday. MARAMA LEAVES SYDNEY.—The Union Company’s intercolonial steamer Marama left Sydney for Auckland yesterday afternoon with passengers, mail and cargo. She is due on Tuesday morning. The Maunganui also left Sydney yesterday afternoon and is due at Wellington on Tuesday morning. SOUTHERN CROSS REPORTS.— Wireless advice from the Melanesian Mission steamer Southern Cross states that she expects to reach Auckland tomorrow night. The vessel is returning after a three months’ cruise to the mission stations in the south-west Pacific. She will berth on Monday morning. WESTMORELAND FROM GLASGOW. | —The Westmoreland (Federal Line) arrived at New Plymouth from Glasgow yesterday morning to commence loading. Her ports of call will be New Plymouth. Opua, Auckland, Gisborne, Napier and Wellington. She is due at Wellington on July 17 and will sail finally from there on July 19 for London and West Coast ports. RANGITANE DUE MONDAY.—At present at Lyttelton loading for her Homeward voyage, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s motor-liner Rangitane is to leave there at, 5 o’clock this afternoon for Auckland to continue filling up. She is expected to arrive here at about 4 p.m. on Monday, and will berth at Prince’s Wharf to load. LORD DEVONSHIRE SOLD.—The British freighter Lord Devonshire, after several months of idleness, has been sold to shipbreakers. The Lord Devonshire was heard much of last winter, ’ when she was the last vessel of the season to leave Montreal. She was held in the ice at Sorel for some time, and finally fought her way through the ice with the aid of ice-breakers. HUGE ICEBERGS. —The Hamburg - American motor-ship St. Louis, which docked in New York last May. reported having passed between two huge icebergs off the southern edge of the Grand Banks. The larger berg was about 135 feet high and 300 feet long, and the smaller one about 120 feet high and nearly 400 feet long. THE PORT FREMANTLE.—The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company advises that the Commonwealth and Dominion Line motor-ship Port Fremantle, at present at Queen’s Wharf discharging the local consignment <>f her cargo of geenral merchandise from London, is to sail late on Monday night for Port Chalmers and Bluff to complete tinloading. ARGYLLSHIRE DUE MONDAY. —The New Zealand Shipping Company's steamer Argyllshire is due in port on Monday morning from Liverpool, according to her 'last wireless advice. She later sails for Wellington, Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, and New Plymouth to complete unloading. WOOLGAR FROM BUNBURY.—The Melbourne Shipping Company’s steamer Woolgar will arrive from Bunbury. via Newcastle, at ten o’clock tomorrow morning, according to her wireless advice. The vessel has a full cargo of jarrah. of which 400.000 feet will be unloaded at King’s Wharf and the remainder at Napier. Wellington and New Plymouth. AORANGI DUE MONDAY.—Due at this port early on Monday morning, the Royal Mail motor-liner Aorangi is en route from Sydney to Vancouver. RONAKI sailed for Hokianga 4.0 p.m. yesterday and returns 6 a.m. tomorrow.
