TUNNELLER SUSPECTED OF THEFT NEARLY £670 INVOLVED Charged with tlie theft of a cashbox containing cheques, Government bonds, money orders and-postal notes of a. total value of £669 16s sd, at Wellington on April 29, from the solicitors’ firm of Levi and Jackson, Frederick Murray, a tunneller, aged 38, was remanded in the Police Court this morning until July 5. Murray was charged, with a second man named Valvai, yesterday, with an offence at Pukekohe, and Detective Moon recognised Murray later as being wanted in connection with the offence at Wellington. Mr. P. K. Hunt, S.M.. said that lie had received a letter stating that Valvai was not a dentist, as he was described in the charge-sheet yesterday.
