GLENDOWIE GOLF CLUB
SECOND OPEN DAY HELD The Glendowie Golf Club held its second open day of the season on Wednesday. There was a good attendance from outside clubs. The best gross score for the medal handicap, played in the morning, was handed in by E. E. Beehan, of . the Maungakiekie Club, the same player also handing in the card for the best net handicap, 14 and under. His score was 79, 11 —68. The medal handicap, for 15 handicap and over, was won by K. Brookfield, 95, 25—73. In the afternoon a fourball bogey handicap was played and the best cards returned were those by F. Hintz and R. Garrard, G. Wynyard ! and H. R. Tyler, Greville and D. Mor- 1 rison, all 3 up. A medal handicap will be played by i those members not engaged in the I captain’s match tomorrow, players to j choose partners. TITIRANGI LADIES’ CLUB Following were the best cards returned by members of the Titirangi j Ladies’ Golf Club in the L.G.U. medal match played yesterday: Seniors.—Miss K. .Horton, S 6, 10 —76; Mrs. Banister, 86, 9 —77; Mrs. Swain, 96, 15—S3; Mrs. Paterson, 100, 17 —S 3; Mrs. Deighton, 90, 7 —83.
