In the B section. Penrose has an unbeaten record with 12 points, followed by Eden, who has been beaten only once with 10 points. In the third intermediate grade Section A, Grafton has not been beaten and is closely followed by Grammar A with four wins and a draw and Shore

Technical Old Training College, and Marist rsity-Teehnical Old Boys game id, judging by the form shovrn t and interesting game should with four victories. Grammar and ! Y.M.C.A. are the leaders in the B sec- | tion, and in the C section Otahuhu lias | won the five games it lias played, l'oli lowed by Manukau with 8 points. The competition in A section of the ! fourth grade is particularly keen, three j teams, Grafton, Otahuhu and Mara* j thon being on level terms with ten ; points each. Ponsonby is next with I eight points. The position may be materially altered in the next two Sat- | urdays, however, as Ponies have still two games to play and Otahuhu has one fixture still to carry out. In the B section, Penrose has won each of the five games played, while Manukau, which has been beaten only once, is only two points behind. A keen contest was witnessed in tne fifth grade competition on Saturday when the leaders, Manukau and Technical Old Boys, met at the Showgrounds. The West Coasters won a hard game by eight points to three, principally through the superiority of their inside backs, the Brimble brothers working splendidly together in the five-eighths’ line.
