POLICE CAST DOUBTS ON ART UNION REMAND ON £IOO BAIL “It is alleged that accused liad a number of tickets printed, purporting to be for :he Golden Casket art union, Brisbane. There were a good many tickets in circulation and all our inquiries go to show that accused is at the root of the trouble,” said ChiefDetective Hammond, in the Police Court this morning. On a charge of false pretences, William Thomas Watson was remanded until July 4 on bail of £IOO. The detailed charge against Watson, a plumber, aged 41, was that on April 7. he obtained 5s 6d from William Charles Dulieu by falsely representing that a ticket, purporting to be No. 26G, Golden Casket art union, and bearing number 7801, was issued by the Golden Casket art union. Brisbane, by the authority of the Queensland Government.
