POSTMAN CHARGED
THEFT OF LETTERS Press Association WELLINGTON, Today. William George McLean, a postman, with 10 years’ service and a married man with two children, pleaded guilty today' to the theft of letters containing money, postal notes and a cheque i between February' 10 and June 20. this : y’ear. It was stated that the postal notes and cheque were destroyed by' accused. There were seven charges. The magistrate, Mr. E. Page, S.M., remanded the case till Tuesday in order that he might consider it.
