ENCOURAGING VERSE RADIOED TO ATLANTIC FLIERS
Reed. 9.5 a.m. NEW YORK, Tues. A POEM, which was written by ‘A a mem ber of the Roosevelt Field Staff, is to be relayed by the “New York Times” by wireless to Kingsford Smith on his flight. It reads:
Come on, major; come on. Keep her up over the waves. Bring her across That treacherous course. That marks other fliers’ graves,
Keep up the steady grind; But mind how the head winds
buck. We’ll all be there. You'll meet us there. You have that kind of luck
