The annual meeting: of the Mount Albert Bowlins Club was held in the pavilion, Mr. .J. Thomas, presiding over a large and enthusiastic attendance. The annual report and balance sheet were read and adopted. The report showed that the season started with an increased membership over the previous year. Vicissitudes had been overcome, and the season throughout had been a successful one. Reference was made to the loss sustained by the death of three popular members, thte late Messrs. Dann, Grb; and Walters. Tt was with extreme regret that, owing to health reasons, Mr G. R. Stenson will retire from the secretaryship after four years’ service. Special mention was also made of the valuable work performed by Mr. de Castro, green superintendent, who is also relinquishing his position this year.

Competitions throughout the year resulted as follows: —11. Dawson, club champion; S. E. Williams, junior champion; handicap singles, It. Mercer; pairs, W. Thomas, J. Tomlinson: percentage fours, Messrs. Hall, de Castro, Stewart and Baildon. The president, Mr. .T. Thomas, presented the prizes, which were donated by S. Lonsdale, J. M. Caughey, G. A. Coles. J. Thomas, A. F. Bennett and Peter Floyd. In the pennant competition and in-ter-club matches a satisfactory standard was established.
