I I 1 FOLIAGE DECORATES HALL The Auckland University College Engineering and Architectural Societies gave a delightful' dance in the college hall on Saturday evening. The lobby and ball were artistically decorated with largo clumps of bamboo and flax and the stage was arranged to represent the two sections of the societies. Excellent music was played by the \ Mon to Carlo Orchestra. ! Among those present were: i Mrs. O'Shea, who was wearing a gown j of floral brocaded metal clotli in autumn j shades. Mrs. Knight, who was in black corded | taffeta. Mrs. Lamb, who had on navy blue georgette with oriental beaded panel. Mrs. McLaren wore a frock of ashblue ring velvet and georgette. Mrs. Chisholm chose a gown of black silk lace. Mrs. Crookes was wearing a pretty frock of pale blue corded taffeta. Mrs. Dawson’s frock was of biscuit shaded fish net over satin. Mrs. Jebson wore a frock of airforce blue souple satin. Miss Bourne was gowned In cameo pink georgette with deep hem of black. Miss M. Kallagher had on an anklelength frock of pervenche blue georgette with, a daffodil silk lace coatee. Miss D. Kallagher chose a pretty dance frock of old rose crepe de soie with a i coatee of floral lame. 1 Miss V. McCallum wore ciel blue spotted : moire taffeta. Miss L. Court had on a frock of powder blue georgette with frilled panels. Miss D. Miller's dance frock was of salmon pink crepe de chine. Miss M. Brads tree t was f rocked in • shell pink crepe fleuri. Miss Una Flatt had chosen a gown of pastel blue patterned souple satin. Miss Franklin was in lido blue silk lace and net. Miss Murdock chose a frock of sunset pink floral taffeta. Miss Joan Hank in was wearing a dainty frock of apple green corded taffeta. SEA-FOAM GREEN A pretty frock of sea-foam green corded taffeta with tiny panniers was worn by Miss Hickey. Miss Bishop chose a gown of mist blue silk lace. Miss Bell had on a frock of patterned ninon in shades of apricot. Miss N. Broady was wearing a pretty frock of deep cream sprigged ninon over satin. Miss E. Leitz chose a gown of forest green satin beaute relieved with silver sequined flower. Miss IX Buckley wore a frock of leaf green taffeta. Miss D. Wills was in a flared frock of powder blue. Miss J. Rotherham was gowned in rose taffeta relieved with lace. Miss Datthner had chosen a frock of black georgette. Miss R. Kenny was in a sunrise pink floral taffeta frock. Miss Stewart’s dainty frock was of white frilled tulle. Miss M. O’Brien chose a dance frock of cyclamen corded taffeta. Miss Anderson was wearing shrimp pink taffeta. Cyclamen taffeta and net was chosen by Miss Alfreda Souter. Miss M. Gallagher had on liberty blue silk lace. Miss P. Miller’s frock was of primrose sprigged ninon. Miss K. Bailey was wearing a frock of floral ninon. Miss Ruth Hawkins was in a. turquoise blue georgette frock. Miss B. Fotheringham chose a gown of black ring velvet. Miss McMahon was frocked in indiai) red ring velvet. Miss Nancy Collins wore a dainty ankle-length frock of daffodil taffeta with appliqued flowers ori the skirt. Miss Bailey was wearing a blue and silver metal cloth frock. Miss McNeil had on sea green georgette over satin. Miss J. Alexander was in duchess blue crepe de chine and lace. Miss M. MeShane chose a frilled frock of pastel pink georgette.
